Mary Helmreich
Watercolors
Mary Helmreich was born in Weston, Massachusetts. She studied Sculpture and Painting at Bard College in upstate New York and at the Museum School of Boston. During her travels in Europe and Africa she experimented with an array of styles in oil, watercolor and acrylic.
By the time she and her family moved to California in 1981, watercolor had become her favorite medium.
Captivated by the energy and diversity of Southern California, Mary now paints cityscapes, landscapes, historical buildings and more intimate views of the area. Her work is carried out in the representational manner and reflects the local scene.
Mary Helmreich's originals, commissions and prints enhance private homes as well as corporate offices.
Her paintings are regularly accepted in national and international juried shows.
